Whilst our products are all inclusive and suitable for all ages, our challenge rating can be used as an indicator for the amount of elements and complexity within the puzzle. This can help guide you for choosing which challenge rating would be best for your group and event.

The rating system is out of five, where 1 out of 5 is the most straightforward and 5 out of 5 is the most involved. Rest assured, they are all a lot of fun and aren't too conceptually difficult. Remember, if you get stumped, there are always the solutions!

Challenge Rating 1: Ideal for families with young children or anyone after a light, feel-good puzzle that everyone can enjoy together.

Examples: Adventure Hunt Pirates, Spies & Egypt

Challenge Rating 2: Great for groups with teens or adults who want something easy to follow yet fun and engaging from start to finish.

Examples: Adventure Hunt Magic, Jurassic & North Pole

Challenge Rating 3: Best suited to adults or mixed-age groups ready for a deeper challenge that takes teamwork and a bit more brainpower.

Examples: Detective Mystery Missing Cupcake & Holiday Cruise

Challenge Rating 4-5: Still to come! At this stage, our highest challenge rating is 3 as we continue to evolve our product line, this gives us scope to create new and potentially more challenging sets in the future.

3 - 6 of us?

We recommend Adventure Hunt. Simply open every bonbon and one or a few lucky people can play more than one role! Just be sure to open up all six in each pack, as you will need all of them to find the treasure.

7 - 10 of us?

Detective Mystery (packs of 10) is probably the best option for your party.

Alternatively, you could get two packs of Adventure Hunt and have two groups play different puzzles.

Just be sure to open up all the bonbons in each pack, as you will need all of them to solve the puzzle.

A single Adventure Hunt pack can still be suitable for up to seven or eight people and just have a couple of people team up; however, it will be a quicker solve.

11 - 12 of us?

Option 1 (Most Common): Two Adventure Hunt packs and splitting the party into two groups. You can either opt to have two different themes or two of the same theme and compare how fast the two groups are (if you’re feeling competitive).

Most people prefer to have two different themes, which also makes a great conversation point afterwards as you talk about the different experiences.

If you wanted, you can also reset your puzzles and give the other group the puzzle they didn't complete.

Option 2: Detective Mystery and have a few people share bonbons.

Just be sure to open up all the bonbons in each pack, as you will need all of them to solve the puzzle.

13+ ?

You can apply the same reasoning as above and just add more packs as needed.
